Dustin Troy

Dustin has dedicated his career to building organizational excellence from the inside-out.  With a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Miami University, he previously held HR leadership roles in the hotel industry and at Boeing.  He believes in treating employees as family (in fact, we even call them “Family Members”) with the idea that in turn, they will care for our residents like their own family.

Luz is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Mental Health Professional (MHP) with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and 40+ years of experience in emergency & critical care nursing, oncology nursing, medical/surgical as well as geriatric psychiatric nursing.  Luz previously worked in Geriatric Psychiatric Nursing at Northwest Hospital.

Rose Lozada

Registered Nurse

Rose is a Registered Nurse (RN) with over 35 years in medical, pulmonary and critical cardiac care experience with adult populations.  She is very enthusiastic in extending her expertise and service to our elderly residents and their families, and loves being a part of this community.

Tamam Gisho

Licensed Practical Nurse

Tamam is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who has specialized in eldercare for over 5 years.  He enjoys working with seniors because there is so much to learn from their experiences, and because he gets to make a positive difference in their lives.  He has a wonderful ability to develop a strong rapport with residents, families, staff and physicians alike.  In his spare time, he enjoys watching movies and playing soccer.

Karla Ballew

Medical Director

Having dedicated her life's work to serving the frail and elderly, Karla holds a degree as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP).  Her philosophy of care includes formulating a cohesive partnership with each resident to ensure the care they receive meets their personal goals.  Compassion, encouragement, patience & respect are the principles that guide Karla's practice.  When not caring for her patients, Karla loves to sing karaoke, try new ethnic cuisines and explore the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

Jimmy Rice

Property Manager

A life-long Seattleite, Jimmy brings 17 years of experience in construction and maintenance (including 6 years in healthcare settings) to our Family.  Jimmy appreciates the opportunity to work in this setting because he sees first-hand the difference it makes in our residents' lives each day.  When he's not busy keeping our properties in top-notch condition, Jimmy enjoys going to the movies with his wife as well as spending time at the dog park.

Miriam Dominguez

Operations Supervisor

Miriam brings a well-rounded background to our Family, having worked in multiple customer service settings including the hotel industry.  She's lived in CO, ID, OR & Mexico...and of course here in WA!  Along with her Bachelor's in Business Administration, these experiences allow her to work well with our diverse group of Family Members & residents.  Miriam is motivated by the idea of making a positive contribution to the lives of those around her each day.

Nicole Reddy

Office Assistant

Nicole's 8 years working as a pharmacy technician sparked her interest in the medical field.  That led her to join our Family, where she's enjoyed learning about the AFH business and the passion and personal attention that goes into each resident's care.  Her hobbies include going to concerts, traveling and spending time with her fiancé and dog.

Parker Clewell-Valdez

Senior Pet Therapist

Parker has been visiting our homes since he was a young pup.  He works very hard to make everyone's tail wag around the household.  Nowadays, he requires a little more stretching in the morning to get up and moving, but it's made him an even more empathetic Therapist for our residents!

Zoey Clewell-Valdez

Junior Pet Therapist

Under the wise tutelage of her big brother Parker, red-headed little Zoey brings a smile to our residents' faces during her visits.  She provides unconditional love, and will give extra kisses if you sneak her a treat!
